Where do barretts go?

Camryn was playing with their hair supplies in her bathroom and I was on the phone with a neighbor while she was doing so (in the bathroom with her). After I got off the phone, I told her that we needed to go put a new diaper on her. She kept saying that she had something in her nose, which is why she kept picking it. I kept telling her to get her finger out of her nose. As I was putting a new diaper on her and she was lying down, I could see what was up her nose.....a piece of a barrett that she was sticking up her nose. It could have been much worse, at least I got it out!

Answer: Barretts do not go in your nose.

Butt Dryer

Camryn said that she had to go potty, so I let her go ahead and get started before I needed to do my part. She can take her pants and diaper off and go potty by herself. It had been a few minutes and she hadn't asked for help, so I went in there and she was drying her butt by the heat coming from the vent. Why waste toilet paper, right??

Butter Anyone??

With all the crazy things that happen around here, I swear I could write a book! So I thought I would start updating the blog more often so I can look back years from now and laugh when at the time, I wasn't laughing.

Today I was (am) trying to cook lunch, Camryn can now open the refridgerator, and took out a brand new stick of butter and ran into the living room and was trying to eat it.

Yesterday, Emerson was sick. Camryn said that she had to go potty, so I let her go in. She'll usually call for help when she needs it. I noticed that she had been in there a while. I go in there, thinking that she was just washing her hands...well that's not all she was washing. She had her hair filled with hand soap and was "shampooing" her hair. I stripped off her shirt and hosed her down in the bathtub.

Late yesterday afternoon, Emerson overheard me leaving a message for my in-laws that she wasn't able to go to school because she had to be fever free for 24-hours. She yelled at me and told me that she was going to go to school and that I was going to go to jail. Nice.

She's been using the jail reference a lot lately because one morning while we were waiting for the bus to come, another bus stopped across the street to pick up kids and a truck didn't stop and went around the bus. Little did the truck know that there was a sheriff's car behind him. He got pulled over. So I explained what police do when they pull someone over and if they are really naughty, they go to jail. So I guess I was being naughty in not letting her go to school and getting everyone else sick, so I was going to jail. :)

Stay tuned....I'm sure there will be more to come....yet today!

Welcome Back...1 year later.

It has recently been brought to my attention that it had been a year since I last updated the pictures. Well, a year and a day to be exact. What can I say, these girls keep me busy! So here are just a few pictures of this past spring. I promise to post more later!

The girls won 3rd place at the Meijer Gardens Children's Stroller parade. Their picture was supposed to be in the Grand Rapids Press, but it wasn't :(

Rich did a triathlon for Johan's Trifest at Sandy Pines Resort in Hopkins, Michigan. This was very early in the morning.
Rich had his number (age) on the back of his leg, so the girls wanted one too.

Emerson's soccer team.
A nice evening stroll through downtown Rockford.

Emerson played co-ed soccer this past spring. There were 6 girls and 2 boys on their team. She was a little nervous at first, but once she got out on the field, she enjoyed every minute of it. She's #3.

Camryn smelling the flowers in downtown Rockford.

Emerson receiving her diploma from preschool. She's go to young 5's starting in September. She'll go all day on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday.

Emerson getting her haircut for the first time in a salon. Mommy has cut her hair previously. This was a special day because she graduated from preschool.

Go State!

Apparently I don't feed my kids and they need to literally rip open boxes of cereal without my knowledge so they can eat.
